What a memorable day of netball at the Daisy Tan Carnival 2025, held at Kallang Netball Centre! Our SGNA girls gave it their all, showing up with determination, heart, and the unmistakable SGNA spirit across both U14 and U17 categories.

Our U14 players started the day early, reporting at 7:20 AM and stepping confidently onto the courts. Every single player in this group was playing up in age—facing older, more experienced opponents. Yet they stood their ground, played with heart, and proved that courage and resilience have no age limit.

In the afternoon, the U17 SGNA Lions faced equally tough competition—going up against taller, older players. But at just 14 years old, they showed remarkable fight and maturity on court. Huge thanks to Coach Saadiah for guiding the girls through this challenging yet rewarding experience.

Though we didn’t walk away with medals this time, the true victories were seen in the growth, teamwork, and grit shown by every player.

At SGNA, we believe: It’s not just about the big wins—it’s the small wins that build champions.
Every step forward matters. Every effort counts. And this journey is just getting started. 💪🔥

DSA Mock Trial

SGNA hosted its highly anticipated DSA Mock Trial, giving young netballers a real taste of what it’s like to compete under the Direct School Admission format. Held at RGPS courts, the day featured live scrimmage-style drills, game-based simulations, and mini-match scenarios, each designed to mirror the structure and intensity of actual school DSA trials.

This immersive session provided players with an authentic trial experience, complete with personalized, constructive feedback to help them walk into their real DSA trials brimming with confidence.

Under the guidance of SGNA coaches, many of whom actively serve on selection panels across various secondary schools. The trial adhered closely to the standard format used by most schools. Participants were expected to arrive fully prepared, just as they would for an official trial day, creating a learning environment that was both challenging and true to form.

SGNA U6 Carnival

Our littlest netballers were buzzing with excitement and ready to play. For many, this was their first netball carnival experience, and their energy lit up every modified match. They ran, passed, and cheered with joy and early teamwork shining through.

Guided by our patient coach, the girls learned basic footwork and passing, and discovered early lessons in encouragement and sportsmanship, all in a safe, fun environment. This approach aligns with U6-level netball formats that emphasize play over competition, building confidence and movement foundations.

There were no timesheets or scores because here, every high‑five, brave pass, and shout of encouragement was a win. At SGNA, we believe big journeys begin with small steps, and every effort matters.

Thank you to our cheerful players and supportive parents for making this morning truly special. Our future stars have only just begun! 🌼💪
