The under 12 (U12) program is specifically developed for players aged from 11 to 12 years (born in 2009 and 20010).
In this program we focus on motor skills such as running movement, balancing and ball control. We also have lots of fun playing modified netball games.
Players learn to play as a team and be a team player and we join as many carnivals and leagues as possible.
Beginners aged 11 to 12 will need to join the Novice program first as the U12 program is for more advanced players. Beginning 11 year old players can also start in the U10 program.
The program follows the school calendar and the year is divided into 4 terms. Registration is for one term, followed by quarterly renewals. Players can join anytime unless the registration is closed.
The program fee for one term is $270 for 10 sessions of 2 hours. New players have to purchase a SGNA attire. There is no administration fee.
Program fees will be prorated when you let us know before the start of a term which sessions the player is not able to join. Once joined the first session, full or agreed fees apply. The minimum fee for a term is $210 (7 sessions).
The Singapore Netball Academy Attire is Red-white in color. The T-shirt is white with our logo printed on the front and the text "Singapore Netball Academy" printed on the back. The shorts are red with our logo printed on the front. The socks are white with SGNA logo on both sides. This attire is mandatory for all players in the academy. The cost of 1 set is $60 to be paid at the first session.
We do not provide trials classes. Trial classes are very difficult to organize as we need to rent a court and provide coaches. The reality is that we have to decide on a timing that is convenient for everyone where everyone has their own schedule and no one finally is able to attend the trial classes at the same time. The option to join a running program for 1 session is not feasible as this will disturb the program continuously, something we want to prevent as the players in the program have the right to get the full attention of the coaches. Our advice is to watch one of the sessions and try at least for 1 term (10 sessions) to find out if you or your daughter likes Netball.
Our venue in the west is Methodist Girls' School (MGS) and in the east Haig Girls' School. When MGS/HGS is not available we will use OCBC Arena or Kallang Netball Centre.
2020 TERM 4 program
COVID-19 edition (with limitations)
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions we are not able to conduct our normal programs. We hope that the restrictions will be (partly) lifted soon with the opening of Phase 3.
Under these restrictions, we will until the Mid December 2020 conduct 2 sessions per week of 2 hours at Kallang Netball Centre & OCBC Arena Sundays 3pm - 5pm & 4pm - 6pm.
We have 45 slots available and sign-up for the sessions is on a weekly basis. based on selection criteria players will be selected for one of the sessions or placed on a waitlist.
If you register your daughter for these sessions, you have to pay 1 term in advance and we will deduct per session of your fee balance. Additionally if the player is new to SGNA and you sign up for a term, you need to purchase the SGNA attire.
in case the restriction are lifted and we return to our normal programs, the fee balance will be used to register for the normal programs.
